South Austin has a variety of neighborhoods from Barton Hills at the north end to Onion Creek and Southpark Meadows at the South end. Onion Creek is a wonderful neighborhood that features a beautiful golf course and homes built mostly in the 1980's, with a few built since 2000. Southpark Meadows is a newer development right next to the Southpark Meadows shopping center at IH35 and Slaughter Lane. One of the city parks in South Austin is Mary Moore Searight Park.
